Sowing Seeds

Sowing Seeds

Its been a while since I last wrote anything at all, but then again, there has not really been a lot to report on this time around and everyone needs a holiday. But summer rolls on and since this tinker’s Tanner was a most excellent affair as deals were done, words were spoken many good seeds were sown and if I know my stuff, a few blue beads were broken ;0) but everything works for a reason, I have my muse in sight again now, there is fresh kkc tinfoil in the wind, life is good and I really should type a few more of my thunkls up every now and then just to keep my mind in, I suppose. One thing that I have recently done is to give these blogs a new online home of their own where I can be sure they will stay for postereity and where I keep an eye on things better I might even respond to any questioning by those pioneers who find these little messages in bottles. I have entitled them The Cassandaera and housed them up on Reddit. Go surf…

As July arrived there was a pretty predictable tick in the great order of things around the solstice with a very orderly five planet alignment that was surely just coincidental as we crest the annual summer hill and begin the slow descent into winter. More heatwaves have arrived, generally earlier than expected, esp in Japan (both the hottest and earliest Since Records Began) whilst Italy is having a pretty tough time what with the river Po drying up and ting . Recent reports of a new ‘tropical’ hole in the ozone layer are very worrying reading indeed… Hurricane season has been underway for over a month now with nary a storm in sight until storm B, when it finally came, blew in much further to the south than is usual and then managed to make it’s landfall last right across Nicaragua before picking up steam again to become a hit in both oceans, which is a comparatively rare thing I am told. The Ukrainian war is chugging along on it’s projected timescale with every day seeing Zelenski begging NATO for more bombs, an attitide which will probably end up winning him the nobel peace prize next year. But dragging all the fighting out until christmas will at least keep the american war machine happy although Europe is starting to waver a bit on their own united front line promises as the EU start to think long and hard about the consequences of no gas by xmas. Ho ho Hum.

Independence day saw our planet’s aphelion and that cosmic date also seemed to mark a new phase in the uk’s WWV political game. Bozo though he had survived for another year after winning the partygate saga but with the economy taking centre stage next up Britain needs a banker at the helm, and will boil down to one half of the RSJ, the men who would be king. With perfect synchroniCity they were told that the time was right to find the common ground in breaking Boris down and thus teamwork toppled him as the hands behind the socks stabbed him front and back as the factions fight once more to try to wrest the poisoned chalice of power away from the Eton crop, although not until after their summer break is over and the silly season is a long time in politics. It was also the day the war has reached it’s official halfway point with the russians liberating the first of their two named targets bang on cue.

In world health news, the ECDC have announced suddenly that they have stopped their counting of covid cases, (just as Faucci caught it) which I find rather annoying as this smacks of fudging numbers by hiding all the data explaining that it was ever really as bad as they always said it was imho, but I suppose the funding had to run out some time and at least Monkeypox is providing us with an interesting distraction. Now MP has been endemic to Equatorial West Africa and more specifically to the Congo since it first turned up some fifty years ago, and it has enjoyed a progressively slow rise in cases with a steadily high mortality rate of 10% up until now. But this year whilst Africa is not showing that much of a change , which is the pace to be expected, and yet somehow MP has managed to spread it’s catchment area outwards globally and this year has found a way to establish a foothold abroad although the ‘deaths by’ figure is still standing virtually at nil. The real difference to focus on is that the pox has suddenly gained great traction among mainly European folk where it never did so before and whilst a standard level of mutation in the pox itself might be expected to affect all locations simultaneously, Africa is holding steady to it’s expected rates whereas European cases are rising exponentially. That is all very odd and we can only watch and think beforewe all go jumping on the pandemic button again. Now it might be easiest to point to the rising temperatures or even to a change in the tropical delineations but until we have a full year worth of data to study we can’t hope to explain why all of this may be. Just like with covid it may turn out to be a seasonal thing, maybe? maybe not, but somewhere along the way to 2022 MP has clearly mutated to include folk from the EU culture in it’s preferred victims statuses which might even imply a bridge in infections between two differently coloured skins and be nothing to do with climate geography at all. Could it be us humans who are mutating? That would be one thought worth noting down, and is MP just going to be the first in a long chain of evolutionism where the germs rise up to conqueor mankind? Scifi is a strange place sometimes when you let your imagination run wild, still…stranger things.
